Launch Table
The Launch design represents a 3–pronged rocket set for launch. The concept was to provide a form that was visually light but at the same time incredibly sturdy.
The Launch table is a natural evolution of the multi-award winning Launch stool. It was designed with the same goals in mind: a single material, stackable, recyclable and technically innovative product. The table is suitable for indoor and outdoor environments. The Launch stools and tables are a stackable, UV resistant virtually indestructible seating and tabletop solution for residential, hospitality, and commercial environments. Made from polyethylene the stools and tables are also 100% recyclable.
The award-winning stool was designed in 2007 employing an aesthetic drawn from folded forms. The Launch table follows this aesthetic while further challenging the molding process given the large increase in scale. The tighter edges of the table give a larger work surface, while giving strength to the silhouette. A series of flutes on the underside of the table invisibly increases the strength of the table. It draws inspiration from the cooling fins, radiators and other machinery you might find on the underside of a spacecraft.
