Murano
Murano is an equally pretty easy chair which hugs your body with a surprisingly high comfort. The backrest and seat are designed so that you can vary the seat position from active to more relax. In the relaxed situation, you also get more contact with the armrests.
Except of the incredibly high level of comfort, Murano also offers the possibility of hanging a jacket or a computer bag on the backrest.
Award-winning Italian designer Luca Nichetto divides his time between his studios in Venice and Stockholm. He grew up on idyllic Murano off the coast of Venice, since the Middle Ages, world-renowned for its glassworks. Now, in collaboration with Offecct, he has created an equally pretty and compact armchair that can be defined as a tribute to Murano and its glass blowers. Luca Nichetto’s Phoenix chair, designed for Offecct according to their Lifecircle philosophy of sustainability, was a success in 2017. Phoenix won the Sustainability Project of the Year Award and was awarded the Form Award.
Now, he and Offecct return with Murano.– Murano is a tribute to the region of my childhood, says LucaNichetto. Entering a lounge or lobby may figuratively speaking very well feel like coming home. The likelihood increases with an armchair that hugs your body with a surprisingly high comfort, continues Luca.Anders Englund, Design Manager at Offecct agrees:– The design of our time is constantly being developed to meet theneeds of public places. Today’s digitalised work environments increasingly resemble home environments, as new generations want a “softer” feel. “Work and relax where you sit.” Murano reflects these needs
