Series 2 Task Chair introduces additional performance features and fresh new style choices for personalisation, expanding one of our most popular office chair collections.

Style Steelcase Series 2 with standard or quilted upholstery. Celebrate the attractive geometric back design without upholstery or warm it up with 3D Microknit. Steelcase Series 2 is available as a standard-height task chair or as a higher stool. An optional head rest or coat hanger adds additional comfort and convenience.

Steelcase Series 2 features our signature Air LiveBack® technology, which works through an innovative geometric design that provides sophisticated support. The specially engineered wave pattern is scaled to provide support for each part of the spine, allowing it to flex in multiple dimensions to create responsive, personalized comfort and fit.

Additionally, the height-adjustable lumbar, responsive back tension, 4D adjustable arms, and adaptive seat bolstering ensure continuous comfort and ergonomic support.

Seat Adjustment:

Seat depth adjusts 64mm (393mm–457mm).
Seat height: Chair: 927.1-1047.75mm H; Stool: 1073-1397mm H

Foot ring (d=508mm) height on stools adjusts 89mm.

Back Adjustment:

Lumbar height adjusts 95mm (159mm to 254mm from seat)

Variable back stop Comfort Dial has 3 settings:
(1) weight activated setting;
(2) boosted setting that has more resistance than your body is providing;
(3) an upright back lock setting.

Headrest adjusts 76mm vertically to support the head and neck of the user in both upright and recline postures.

Arm Adjustment:

Rectilinear independent height-, width-, pivot-, and depth-adjustable arms and soft arm caps.
Arm height: adjusts independently within a range of 102mm (178mm–279mm from the seat).
Arm width adjusts 57mm in each direction.
Arm depth adjusts approximately 76mm to enable user to get closer to work surface.
Arms pivot independently, 30° inward and outward.
